I was thinking of getting it but I didn't want to get both fall out 3 and fable 2 so I gotta decide between the 2.

The problem with fable 2 and fallout 3 and KOTOR and any of these games which promote things like choice, and "your actions will change everything about the game" are all so full of themselves it is a wonder they even let you play, instead of just watching the developers all jerk each other off.

There is always only ever two choices and that is angelic goodness or Hitler and the sharp contrast between the two makes the game incredibly boring and predictable, and the outcomes are only ever unreasonable in the context of the game vs. how your character acts and plays.

I picked up Fable and played it for a bit until the game got boring and while I haven't played as long for Fable 2, it seems not much has changed. I've made a firm concession that I only ever play these games as the equivalent of Jesus because I have a feeling not a single person this game is marketed to ever does anyhting but act like Ghengis Khan raping and pillaging every square inch of the game because it is "cool" to be evil. I figure It'll just break the game.

Regardless the time I played fallout 3 has been more fun than Fable 2, but I'll get a better opinion in a few weeks when I've beaten both.

No such luck. Spent 7 hours in Fallout 3 and I don't see a conceivable ending. haven't touched Fable II in awhile. Don't hold your breath.

another 5 hours and still trudging through DC. This game is long, but I guess if I skip all the side quests from now I can get to start fable II in a day.

I know I won't be picking up the game.

It follows the too often trend of RPG games.

All you do is run around, get quests, kill dumb baddies and level up. The quests are more or less go to here, kill this, etc. The enemies are so dumb that they just charge at you. You can easily kill them.

Yea there's marriage, a good/evil meter and sex, but it doesn't mask the typical RPG that it really is.

I don't like RPGs. I don't like Fable.

I beat Fallout 3, and it was a fantastic game. Really long and lots to do. I wandered away from the main quest for a day and a half before getting back on it, and after 4 days of straight playing I beat the game with less than half the map explored. It could easily take a day to beat the game, but that isn't really a good idea, as most of the side quests are funner than the main quest. The ending however was really shitty.

Can't play Fable 2, as mixing beer and the DVD was not a good idea so I have to get a new copy, but if it is anything like fable 1, Fallout 3 blows it's shit to pieces.

Thanks for the advice, or whatever the hell that was, I'm leanin heavily towards Fallout 3. It felt very oblivion like for the 6 minutes I was stuck in some building when I played at my friends house. I've mixed feelings about it being compared to oblivion.
I'll probably pick it up when I've got the cash. thanks
