Error with all of the mods

everytime i dowload a mod, and play my dialbo 2 everything is right but wen i click single player it says UNHANDLED EXCEPTION: ACCESS_VIOLATION (c0000005). Does anyone know why this happens and how to fix it.

try downloading the patch_d2.mpq file and replacing it in your d2 directory. I had somethign similar and that fixed it, hope it helped

1. Check if its for the right version of D2.
2. Make a folder called mods in your d2 directory.
3. Edit your diablo 2 shortcut to say "normal stuff here -mod

i think thats right, its been a loooong time since i last used mods for d2.
