Error in KERNEL32.DLL

I finally got WoW and every time I got to a certain point in the patcher
while downloading World of Warcraft Client Patch 1.2.0 (2004-12-21) it
would say "Bnupdate has caused an error in KERNEL32.DLL. Bnupdate
will now close.". So I went to the official website and didn't see anything
about it. Then I went looking around on the web and couldn't find
anything having to do with it. Then I emailed the support on the WoW
website yesterday and haven't gotten a response yet - I would really
like to get the game working before Monday because I don't want to
spend all off my off-day trying to fix this...
I would rather be playing already.

I ended up downloading the Repair tool and when I used it, it just looked
through the files and that was pretty much it. Now when I try to open
WoW, it doesn't even start, it just says "Wow has caused an error in
KERNEL32.DLL. Wow will now close." I don't know what to do now.
I guess reinstall?...

Anyone else had this problem?

Your honestly better off looking at the WoW forums to see if this has been adressed:-/

I had no such error with my patching however, so I cannot help you much beyond that.

A reinstall is your best choice right now. And pick SkullCrusher Allianace to be with some other members on BF.

Ok, I just reinstalled it. *cry* Now it's going to be patching while I'm at work.

It keeps telling me that I'm behind a firewall but it's not me - it's the
person who has the router that my PCI Card is getting internet from
who has it and I doubt they want to take their firewall down.
I hope it will still patch and let me play.

If not, then I guess I'll try again in a few months when
Jim and I get our own place and cable internet. :-/

Oh and yes, I wouldn't mind making a char on Skullcrusher Alliance
to play with BF members. That sounds like fun. Any of you happen
to know how long it takes to transfer a char from one server to
another though? I have friends from the Cobalt Wolf Clan in EQ
who are wanting me to play on their server as well and if it
doesn't take long then I could just keep switching servers.
and just keep advancing in my one or two chars.

Khull,
I already looked at the forums on the WoW website, the support forums
as well as the others AND on the tech support pages and then I looked
around the web and before I posted here, I went through some of the
threads and found absolutely nothing referring to my problem. Believe
me, I wouldn't post here without looking for the answer first.

it's going to be only a one time character transfer and it's not implemented yet. :( i guess all you could do is make mroe than one character to play.

I don't think so.
It just means that you need to totally uninstall and reinstall the game.
