I've decided to make a hammerdin and was wondering which armor would be the best to make enigma with. I've read a couple guides that say to use breast plate, but I've also read others that say to use archon. Which is better? Thanks.

or elite quilt or leather or w/e, those works fine as well if you dont want to put in any str.

breast plate will be good if you haven't yet made your hammerdin... or put any points into strength... such as if you got a grush, and then just saved your stats/skills to use when you are ready.

archon is good because with a strength:defense ratio, it offers the best combination + its a light plate :)

my personal favorite is the mage plate (exceptional version) 55 str req. and can still get 1k+ defense on an enigma that way you shouldn't need to rely on charms to where your equipment

my favorite is dusk shroud, 1313 def is possible and its quite nice

others will
be
wyrmhide
and whatever is less str req of archon but archon is definitely the best for hammerdins, other characters should use dusk

dusk turned me off because i was poor when i made my hammerdin so I had over 100 str easy... so archon was no problem there

dusk looks like shit on a pally imo
