What's with the arcane vortexes in netherstorm?

They're clouds that, using this, give you motes of something, depending on the color. The ones in Netherstorm usually give you Motes of Mana and Motes of Shadow, the green ones on Zangarmarsh gives you Motes of Life. That's all I've found out though.

Problem with that crap, however, is that the clouds are usually the same color as the freaking environment. They're purple in Netherstorm. And, you see, so is the whole freaking place.

I only found like 2 or 3 clouds there.

And, yeah, everyone can have those googles, I could if I played my mage.
