Energy Shield...

I have asked many sorcs on diablo about using energy shield. They have varying answers. I know there a pros and cons to using it but do most mf sorcs use it?
I need to know if i should use it or not im almost lvl 80 and i need to know soon.
Also i heard that maxing block is better than energy shield. (but that is insane for a lidless!?!?)

i dun use it, and im lvl 91.

I dun have max block, and im doing fine with mele teleport.
