are we aloud to make a list of emulators and roms for all to share or does it go against teh rules?

please let me know id like to be able to do this.

I would think that giving a list of illegaly coped games is against the rules. and also having the links to the sites wouldent be good for the site as it could cause legal problems.......... I think:frustrate

With Nintendo, it's illegal, as for other companies, I don't know.

But it is perfectly fine for emulators to be posted, as for roms, it's up to the moderator to decide.

It's legal if you make a virtual backup of it.

Is it legal for you to go to a store and steal candy if you already have it at your house?

Emulator creators are often sued by Nintendo and Sony. I don't know about Microsoft. I know Nintendo wins most of their court battles against emulator and ROM sites, and Sony tends to buy out their loses.

Technically, you can make virtual back-ups of your system and games, but game and system developers are making it harder and harder to do so. They rather prefer you not make back-ups =/

From observation, I've noticed that BattleForusms, in general, will allow you to use names of emulators and the general name Kazaa and BitTorrent (but not specific BitTorrent sites) and never link to them! Then again =/ I guess that's what Google is for. I don't recommend you post anything as a test, though :rolleyes We don't want you getting banned based on anything but the moderator's word.

ROMS are just as illegal as game hacks, just because Blizzard doesn't sue over it is no reason to be biased.
