EDITOR HELP

Ok so im making all my armor and stuff in zonfire hero editor and i got everything maxed in my stats and max def on armor and weapons and i go join a game to duel someone and i walk out of the encampment and BAM im dead, the guy was 10 feet away from me and im dead. so im like what the hell and i fight someone else, i take 5 hits at the guy and it does nothing and he kills me in one hit. Can someone please post tips for me like good item files, good item magic attribute combos. the d2 editor doesnt work for me it tells me that my charactes are nox charactes. PLEASE HELP MY CHARS SUCK.
