Hiya i just recently got SC the other day and im so fukin lost. Because i play war3 (too often) i understand the most part of the game but my build order blows, my mid game strat loves the ****, and i have no idea what race i should use.

If this matters i play Human and Night Elf on war3 so plz point me in the right direction.

Yes you may "initiate" or "haze" me as long as it dont involve Axl and me in the same room.

A good beginner race is Terran. If you've played WC3, the games are similar. You build/command units. In SC there are no heros though, and the units ability list is much less.

SC is MUCH more fast paced than WC. You can get loads of units in minutes in SC, but not in WC.

And remember, THERE ARE NO HEROES SO THERE IS NO HERO HARASS!

I started with Terran, then realized that I was faster with Zerg..

if you played NE and Human then Zerg prolly wont be a good choice....

Zerg is a fun race though... try all the races in a 2v1 comp game with a comp on your side. To get a feel for a race. if your in trouble your teammate (comp) will help you. That helpped me alot.

Ya what everybody else said and if you play WARIII this is kinda different. You don't need as much mircro since the "food supply" is 200.

Ya, I tried Terran, Zerg, and Protoss..

Terran: I get how to build, but I do it toooo slowly
Protoss: I kind of get how to build, but way to slow and whatnot
Zerg: I own with zerg, I mass hydras/mutas and own

i am currently messing around with protoss and terran.
zerg is a huge no-no for me, they die faster than other races imo.

i like the whole terran concept of flying buildings and then dropping them on the outskirts of an enemy base and mass rinemedic and vults with goliath but i get pwned by a good air defense and i really hate terran air (wraiths poke ppl with a dead fish and BC takes too long to make and is not worth the cost imo)

Protoss are not as massable due to higher prices in units and you cant expand as fast as terran cuz of the constant need of pylons. i like goons with arbiters and some scouts if i see more air units like carriers and guardians.

Zerg- Try to micro like in WC3 to keep life expetancy higher(not much)(But keep in mind all attacks HIT unlike WC3 where u can I think doge attacks)

Terran yea there mobile yet turttel to much for me, Try hot keying should be the same as WC ctrl + # a comcast station to have quick acssus to Anti Cloak or buld like a Sci vessl

Toss- no help there

i think i might have bought wc3 and tft for nothing... i never play it, its too slow. like u have a group of 24 units and u think "WOW thats a big army" but in sc 24 units isnt really alot unless its bcs or carriers

I think there are some general comparisons between the two games:

Human more or less equals Terran (speed building, late nuking)
Undead more or less equals Protoss (summoning equals opening warp rifts, medium rush)
As for Zerg, I have just as much clue as you do.
