DVD Drives Being Weird

My two DVD drives on my PC aren't behaving how they should. First, they both never sence when a DVD or CD is in, and never autoplay anything. Second, when it does find something inside it, it thinks it's the wrong thing. Right now, I have a DVD movie in one, and it says it's an audio cd. Even with game discs it does this. The icon never changes, when it used to change according to what was in it. Nothing as been done to alter this PC, it's only about 3 months old. So, anybody know what I can do to fix this?

I had that problem awhile back, I ended up just replacing them. After further investigation into the cause of them having problems like that, I revealed that they were just failing. It's usually a good sign that the lense either needs cleaning or has just stopped working properly.
