Duped jewel question

My brother put a 40/15ias jewel into the GF he got himself from pindle. Shortly afterwards I realized the jewels I bought were lvl99. If there's a duped jewel in a legit item, would blizz delete the jewel? or the item? or would nothing happen at all?

you really cant be too sure though..
cause in 1.10 supposedly you can take out the socketed items..

but, knowing blizzard, theres a 99% chance nothing will happen

yeah you can take them out, but you cant reuse them. the gem/jewel/rune is just destroyed

How many times can you take out the item? Probably once (that's my guess) because if you could do it many times, everything would just be crazy.

I don't think that when you remove a jewel, rune, or gem from an item the attributes remain, rather both the jewel and the mods are removed.

That sounds so like Ith making, except for the fact that it's actually on the closed realm. I wonder if this will lead to exploits.

thats exactly what i was thinking, yes when u destroy the runes/gems/jewels the mods are removed but if u noticew on an ith the mods f the old runes are removed so if we can make an ith with breath of dying!!! 660%ed 140%ias omg! that will just be crazy, then again so wsill the monsters

iths dont get their jewels destroyed, theyre just removed

hmmmmm prolly could block sumthing in the new patch but we gonna need new type of sniffers and packet lists
