Dupe Rumor

Why do people think that bliz can delete dupes??? They cant....I mean how would they do it? Every single item does not have its own unique code....that would take so long to program the game to do that.....and the number of items to keep track of would be in the millions...and it would take up alot of their server space...and I know bliz wouldnt do that since b.net is free to play on....

why do you think people perm they're duped items..

obviously so they don't dissappear.....

meh~ do you remember when they started duping... with strange little programs?

if someone with the same weapon came in... both items dissapeared.....

the duped items out now have no code.. some one was able to bypass that~ and so we could all use the items without them dissappearing...

all bnet has to do is whipe out everything with no code... not sure how easy that is.. but who knows~ eh?

*shrug* I'm not sure. Perhaps unique items started getting "tagged" and they might have a method to tell if an Item was duped. Such as perhaps server side Shako #158 has 100 copies, and perhaps they all share a certain item tag?? I have no clue how they keep track of items server side, but each item must be unique in some manner...so I have no ****ing clue how they can tell. Each duped item to my knowledge is unique and how the hell they know..well..*shrug*. I just assume they're going to delete all the bugged items. I don't think Rust Storm will affect dupes, just my occy rings and b ravens. I'd like to see dupes go byebye, then my highlords ammy could actually have value because people will need new gears...found a legit 100/5 psn too.

Ok, all items have a unique id. When an item is duped, both items have the same id. The way blizzards current dupescan works is that if there are two items with the same id in the game, if one person leaves, the other person's item will get deleted. Perming temporaily increases the item id by 1. Thats how it works.

it makes me wonder why blizz doesnt just do a search for known dupe ids and hit the delete button

even if the occy rings werent duped, they wouldve been deleted cause they were hacked.

um i guess u guys didn't know something .. the items lvl and resricts .. for the charms dupes programs are set to 255 .. and the normal ones are not 255 .. another thing is ppl perm becuz then the code will change and inorder to help the item don't get disappear .. third thing is lots of items like wf gf and haxes they have a hidden item lvl requ 99 .. but when u use it is not 99 .. so blizzard look for these coding ..

2: item such as the ITh and haxes when u first join the game they are there than when u rejoin or quit the game the Ith will have a chance of disapearing ~

Meh ppl will jus get new progams to dupe adn then blizz will clean and they'll dupe again it's never gona stop so let them go to the trouble of duping then losing ther item
