As the title states, i am going to have some classes with 2 hour intervals in between in my summer quarter at school and i was wondering whether or not the DS is worth the price. If so, which games should i be looking at? Currently, Pheonix Wright (sp?) seems pretty entertaining.

The DS is an awesome system. I would highly recommend getting a cheap flash card for the system so you can play roms on it.

Tetris over wireless internet was fun.

I lost my DS recharging cable, so i don't know the latest games. Older games I would suggest at least downloading was Tetris, Metroid Prime Hunters,

Pan how did you do that?
Just put the emu on the disk and select the disk off the main screen?
Tetris over wi fi sounds fun as hell.

Castlevania The Dawn of Sorrow or something like that. Seriously one kick ass game. Hunters was ok, the campaign sucks and the multiplayer i kinda bland.
Meteos, meteos, meteos. I swear you will be addicted for weeks.

Other than that i havent bought a game form my DS in ages.

Why would he get a PSP when it still remains the lackluster handheld? I think Bandai Namco made an announcement that just upped the number of games I want for the PSP from something like 1 to somewhere around 4.

As for the DS, I have Final Fantasy III, Etrian Odyssey, Pokemon D&P, and Magical Starsign. I'm planning on getting Final Fantasy Tactics Advance II, Luminous Arc, and Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. I'm looking at Final Fantasy XII: Revant Wings and Hoshigami (sp?). There are others, but I can't think of them off the top of my head. It's mainly those I've been looking forward to or concentrate a lot on.

If you have an interest, you can probably find several good games for that genre on the DS. I mean; my mom loves Yoshi Story (or was it Island?) on the DS. I'm thinking of getting her a few more games, like Sudoku.

Worth the price. Honestly, that's really up to you. And also honestly, the only way you can decide that is to try a DS out yourself. Ask to play someone's. Perhaps take it.

Anyway, my experience was that I got the old DS, got super mario 64. Got bored. I tried advance wars on it. My fingers cramped from the d-pad. I just gave my DS away.

If you have free-time you should make it something. Talk to someone, read or whatever. You should play games for the sake of playing games, not to fill in the bored gap.

The classic Nintendo games makes it worth it alone. The new Zelda and Pokemon titles I've heard were good also.
