as pussy as it may make us druids sound, we are some of the top calibur escape artists. i have a few examples of the many times druids have escaped when others would have not.
i was running through desolace one day when a bunch of horde on mounts ran by. knowing horde, they turned around and charged me, i went from travel to cat, and dashed to make some distance (i think feline swiftness helped too
). i saw some mountainy areas coming up, so i took a sharp turn and prowled. with 5 talent points on improv. prowl, i can basically hide from red mobs standing right next to me, and most players. surely enough they scrambled away as if they had lost me.
another time i was running through the badlands when i was assaulted by some trolls. i casted regrowth and then the instant cast rejuv right after, went travel form (i used dash recently) and ran like a bat out of hell. even with their mounts and nasty DoT shots, they couldnt drive my health down with all that regen. i managed to run into some alliance of higher level after about 4 minutes of straight running, and escaped successfully once again.
plus if theres ever a time where you're near some water, hop in and use sea lion form! garuntee'd to dust 'em everytime. i havent thought much of this until i started observing other players getting cornered by monster leveled horde. they cant use that frost nova spell since it will just be resisted, rogues dont seem to get as easily away as cat form+prowl, and priests dont have the ability to heal and run at the same time nearly as well.
