Drug Raids at a US High School: Immoral and Wrong?

Wtf... at straton high school in the us, some 15 police officers raided the school, (with drug dogs) and raided a group of students (all blacks). Nothing wrong, yes? How about when they have guns drawn and are yelling, screaming, and pushing kneeling students onto the ground? THis is complete bull shit

This is a cop who pushed the student who was kneeling. Notice the gun pointed at him. imagin being at school and having 15 people charging down stairs with guns drawn and screaming and yelling! WHAT THE FU.CK!

What did they find? NOTHING. NOT A SINGLE CIG, CRUMB OF WEED, PILL NOTHING!

i agree with the cops... If i was the cop i'd be worried too... ok imagine you go to a school suspected of drugs. Wouldnt u think ppl who have drugs also have guns? Wouldnt you want to prevent any killings... so therefore u use full force.

And also just cause they didnt find anything. It doesnt mean that there was no drugs at the school.

That happened about 2 months ago, if not more. I think that it was needed. Using marijuana and other really bad drugs are a federal offense. Anybody who does drugs is a complete idiot. The police took procaution. What if one of the kids with drugs decided to get up and try to attack a policeman?

I think that is the first time I have ever heard anyone say bud was a bad drug...

And though drugs are a federal crime that doesn't mean they should be, we live in a free country.

That was totally unethical how you can justify it by saying well drugs are bad baffles me, even if the happend to find drugs, they would be arresting a pusher, not a dealer. If you want to crack down on drug sells arrest the dealers who are making money off of the stuff, not the highschool kids he gets to sell for him.

Well, almost all U.S. schools have drug raids done now, but almost all of them aren't done by police. These drug raids are usually done by hired professional security officers of the school, who have dogs of their own and have experience in searching... But no, it is not immoral or wrong. They do it for a good cause, to keep their youth safe...

Let's legalize murder and terrorism in the US as well. Wait, in the Constitution it says that you can make revolts if you don't like govermenet. Plus, it doesn't say you can, it says you should.

drugs are wrong and can do a lot more harm to u than most of the kids think. maybe some worried parent call them so...i wouldnt blame the police. plus i think all that yelling and gun was to freak them out..not really serious. to make them afraid and just give them an image of what might happend to them IF they would find drugs in his/her possesion.

I doubt that was a racial thing but u never know...

I dont fully agree with this but some ppl fail to understand and dont reason.

That could have been done without the use of force. I'm willing to bet that most of the students the police searched would have let the police search them, because nobody wants an officer to use force against them. The officers also had no proof that any of the people they were searching was in possession of drugs.

My school had one, but it was triggered from a bomb threat (they had had a "sucessful" one two years ago... too bad it only took out a science room...) And they eventually decided, while we had no clue they did it, checked every single backpack for weapons and drugs... Took em 3 hours... Good thing they never found my friend's knives he had in his backpack (for one reason or another...)
