Drow vs Viper mid, a way to win?

I DO NOT want stupid answers like "yeah late game drow gets BURIZE BUTTER DIVINE".

anyone who knows anything knows that in a 1v1 situation the winning hero will keep pressing.

I've done drow vs viper twice, both against good players. I consider myself a decent player and I always seem to come up short. Real short.

Plz no "dota is a team game" or "at lvl 25 drow is better late game". I know this, and you are not answering my question.



What skill build do you suggest, what starting items do you suggest??? early aggression with 0 cd frost arrows or play back? (Starting gold 600).

Orb walk harass better early game = profit.

Also make sure you get a level of silence, I guess.

There is no way drow to outline solo viper early in the game.

Viper is probably the most annoying early game hero to lane against, so it comes down to you doing a better job of orb harassing than the person playing viper.

The only thing you can do when faced with viper in early game is, buy a courier and and buy Tango's or Salv's. even if you cant get much last hits on creeps and gets harrased often the important thing is you dont lose in leveling up. get items later when ur almost at level 6. U get a lot of extra dmg anyway when u get ur last skill. Get silence lvl 1 it help prevent u dying from the slows. lvl 1 orb frost and the rest on 3rd skill for extra dmg.

for drow to win in a 1v1 versing sniper i will presume the gold is not restricted and u ahve ur 4.2k, ur main goal is to out live and not to die and drag the game out to lategame so u can win. dont be to aggressive ur goal early ggame is survival as he is the hunter. get regen items such as a ring of health, when u start. and basically rush loathers. so u can ww out of any situation until he buys dust. after loathers. ur basically just wanting to do the normal build. honestly i cant think of anything unique which is magically gona win you the match. u just have to get a good supply of regen and just drag the match out for the full 60mins. no fast gg for you against viper.

everytime you're advancing or he gets to close, use frost arrows and keep on spamming it on him or just right click it just get items that boost your speed untl early game, then go on with your normal build or what you usually build

a way to win is from lvl 1-4 , drow need to constantly harasss viper and deny creeps . Since viper corrosive attack cool down is 0 when lvl 3 , and drow frost arrow cd is 0 since lvl 1 . make use of the 0 cd . and constantly harass the viper and deny well . make sure u out lvl him . go frost arrow and stats/aura .

Keep viper at max range. At level 6 stay in fog 100% of the time. Wait for late game because viper fails late game against travex.

AND if its 1v1 with no comps just get a dagon lol. Easy 1 hit KO.

You can also get behind his creeps(attack your own when enemy creeps attack you) and make viper go back to base as early as you can.

I recommend getting Armlet first item because you need hp over anything else against a viper(good one at least) because of the ult spamming.

viper with poor man shield and tango is already good enough because it's add agi and block some damage,so the drow cannot harass much to viper.

Yeah I've been stuck in a lane with drow against viper so many times I always fail so hard and I usually get lots of regen too maybe it's my skill that is lacking...

in the early game viper will always wins because of his slow but drow has an advantage if the player focuses on the creeps and not the kills. 1 on 1 is not just based on tactics but also, items changes everything, like you said you don't want late games but that is just how it goes =)

Viper owns in 1on1
but if Traxex has made his set. I dont think Viper will own him. Its gonna be hard
