Dream Game?

What do you think the perfect video game is? What genre and everything and explain some of the details.

My dream game is one that is a RTS but it also allows you to become one of your units. Ex: In starcraft you creat a group of marines adn you send them to attack. Once you get to your target you have the option to actually become one of the marines. However, by becoming a marine it does not increase his stats (attack, range, rate of fire) so your not much better than an ordinary marine. This game would incorperate two of the most popular game genres out there: FPS and RTS.

That would be pretty useless now wouldnt it. I think if you incorporated Warcraft 3 with diablo 2 that would be better, because you could be heros.

Why would that be useless? It would be cool because rather than watching from above during a battle you could become part of it.

But if you dont have any extra powers you wouldnt last very long, and you would need to change charecters alot. It would be more efficient just to command the army rather than just one guy.

I like RPGs with great storylines, I find those are the most fun to play. If you like RTS where you can become one of your minions, try out Dungeon Keeper 2.

Dungeon Keeper 1 was the best game ever ... I sooooo loved to fly around with that Fly-Monster thing ... and leveling up those fat guys to lvl 10 ... ah good times

i want a realistic Dday for once. where you have the internet with thousands of players some german some american, and it would be an all day invasion timed realisticly. if you die by a random artillery shell or bullet too bad, you have to wait for the next wave and hop on a boat that puts you up with the next wave. distances have to be realistically travelled, and and spots not wanted by a human can be taken by ai (boring stuff like artillery teams and boat drivers ) the only problem would be american players would die off really fast runnin up the beach and have to wait awhile for the next wave of the attack (like all day) so youd have to let them take control of an ai soldier when they die. time should be realistic, pick a time zone and have the game go with it so you have to fight during the day and night like normal.

Dont think i have played a game that has yet earned the title dream game but maybe when Doom 3 comes out and i have a better comp i might change my mind

HALO 2 FirstPersonShooters(FPS, it is what it depends on! Its a FirstPersonShooter and you depend on your FrameratePerSecond to play ) rule, i wish they made a FPS version of Diablo, hee hee, except only the amazon would be ranged, basiclty it would be diablo but in first person, that would be so cool

The Sims 2 sound like it is going to be cool, cuz The Sims ROCKED (including all the expansions).

I love RTS. I want Star Craft II, or some sort of Starcraft RPG I think that would be pretty cool. But that's just me.

They have a game like that. Its an old series but it pwned ass.

Ever hear of Battlezone? Thats exactly like what your describing.

My dream-game would be an RPG that literally never ran out things to do. They NPC's would age and die while new ones would be borne. Towns would be destroyed and erected. Quests would always be avalibale...
