Well, after playing this game today, I figured I should warn potential buyers on the horrors of this game.

It's not that DBZ: Sagas is a bad game, it's just nowhere near worth the $50 price tag. I rented it for free, so I'm glad I didn't go out and buy this game thinking it would be as good as Budokai 3. The main reason this game isn't as good as it could have been is because it was rushed in the final stages of production, leaving many glitches and overlooked exploits.

The game itself was a good idea. Sort of a gauntlet approach to DBZ, and was pulled off decently. Two problems here:
1) Repetetive as all hell once you get the Ki upgrade at the end of stage one. Bosses and monsters are ridiculously easy to kill.
2) The main game itself is very short, ending at the cell saga, and that isn't saying much as the saiyan saga was all of about 2 levels with a boss at the end of each, and 1 boss after that.

The game definately loses it's novelty after the first playthrough, and the only incentive you have to play again is using different characters, which don't add much change anyways. There is a 2 player co-op mode which is fun, and on the big bosses the 2 players switch off on fighting via a countdown. player 1 fights for 2 minutes, then player 2 comes in, etc.

If this game wasn't rushed, it probably could have been really good, but as it is now, it gets a 4/10. Don't waste $50 on it, if it comes down to a $9.99 title, then it's worth it, but this is definately a rent title, as you will have beaten and mastered it well within your first day of playing it.

If you want Brolly, get Budokai 3, unless you aren't a PS2 owner. Budokai 3 is by far the best DBZ game out, and it's finally a solid fighting game :)
