I got it by other means, and I enjoyed it for a couple days, then got bored with it. The graphics are great and all, but it's not a real hooking game.

Bought it. played it for like 3 hours but it keeps slowing down so i deleted and won't install it again until i can buy more ram

Good game, i spent the money. I also have a next gen graphics card but that what makes this game great. It runs very smoothly and its a decent 1 player game. Scares the shit out of me though.

Thing is, the game at first when all i had was the pistol, yeah it was scary. I get a shotgun, machinegun, and shit and its not scary, cause the monsters arn't scary and zombies die in one shot. its scarier with a pistol.

Only hting that kept me playing longer, was the fact i got a chainsaw. I got throug most of the game with a chainsaw, jsut becuase it was cool.


This was about a month ago, I stopped playing, and haven't felt the need to play it again.

I have it, but didn't buy it. Was going to buy it, then my friend was like "Oh, dont waste $45, I'll just burn it for you." As against pirating as I am, I'll always save a buck when I can.

I love it though, it's a whole lot of fun, but I can't play it at night. Scares the pants off of me if I play it too late or even sometimes in the day. Gets my heart going when they jump out at me. The weapon selection isn't too broad, but that's alright. I haven't tried any difficulty higher than Rookie, but that one's even pretty hard.

If you're thinking of getting it and are unsure, buy it, but don't expect to run it at real high settings unless you have an expensive ass vid card. I have a GeForce FX 5200 and its laggy as balls if i go above 600x800 resolution on High Quality. Even then it's laggy sometimes.

I've played the Demo 3 or 4 times over, twice on Marine Difficulty. It's fun to use only the pistol. I gave up on it though, cause I don't have $300 to blow on a vid card optimal enough to run it smoothly.

You can run it smoothly with any vid card, it'll just look like shit.

well even with the gfx killed its still looks pretty damn good and yeah the geforce cards i dont know why dont like doom 3 cause i have a 5200 FX and i cant take it off meidum at 640x480 and i have a pretty good computer

Hmm, that's weird. I run it at High 600x800 res fine with that card, a little laggy sometimes, but never too bad unless I have other programs running. Do you have the latest drivers?

a ati radeon 9800 even runs it decent enough. Get the best ATI card you can
