Does Gambling ever pay off

when you gamble in diablo by buying unidentified items from gheed or the oter guy does it ever pay off?

Yea sometimes. If your lucky you might get a nice circlet/coronet or 10 fcr/str/res ring

results from gambling and payouts have varied from patch to patch.

right now 1.10/1.11 i can tell you the payouts are pretty fair. what alot of people do not realise is that gambling for items is dependent on character level, there should be some info out there with exact calculations...but in other words dont go epecting to get an SOJ and level 10.

in the last current patches i think once i reach into the high 40's if you gamble strategically looking for specific items, or an item class populated with good items or that generate good magic properties more frequently you will be pleased. i would say i get a rare atleast from 30% of my tries. maybe 10% is actually really good stuff. these days i seem to be picking up lots of + character specific skill items and lots of MF items.


in the old days i used to pick up alot of nagelrings, manald heals, tarnhelms, steelclash, frostburns, magefists.....all set parts.....you get the idea. best find probably would be a silks of the victor.


bottom line...........GAMBLING IS AN AWESOME WAY OF GETTING GOOD ITEMS WHEN U PUT THE $$$ DOWN.

lol yea me to when i used to bot i used to have over 3.5kmill each day... you know where all that would go lol allllll to gambling but i didnt get 1 fcr ring or circ but i got a kick ass fire circ...2 to fire skillls 24 to str +life +Mana pftt and other good stuff and i shaeled it so its fhr to it was pretty awesome lol but then i traded for a plain 2/20/20/20 2to sorc skill 20%fhr 20%fcr 20to resists and 30%frw circ yea but other then repairing gambling and buying pots o and reviving the merc always a good thing to do but they are the only reasons for gold other then that its useless

I've gambled about once a week since i bought the game 5 years ago, and i've gotten pretty much nothing. I think i got a set item once or twice, but i wouldn't recommend gambling, just use gold to get pots and repair.

Yeah.. You can get a godly circlet hitting you around 30-40 HR

i like gambling. buying 20 rings then looking for unique. and then finding nothing and turning off d2 for the day =P. the most i got (i only buy rings) are nagels and a bul kathos. other then that i have the need to spend gold. so its fun. so i rlly dont get alot of things but watching your hard earned money drain in less then a minute is priceless. o i did get lots of magic rings and magic rings go to ammys and it seems pretty easy to get a +3 to skills ammy when u put it in the cube.

Diablo 2 original and Diablo it did because you can get uniques back then. However, it can still grant you some awesome stuff if you are lucky enough.
