in my opinion thats the key error in FPS' today. everyone wants strat and teamwork, traveling around in groups, hiding behind boxes trying to kill people without getting hurt themselves. how do you stand games like that? when i look at an FPS game, i want one thats not just like real life, where you die and you stay dead, dying quite easily in that time as well. i want a game where you can pick up a rocket launcher or a shock rifle, and rip the living shit out of somebody in probably the most fast paced FPS series out there. and if you get flaked in the back, no problem. you respawn again and the ass kickery can start all over. nothing is more pleasurable in my opinion, then pulling out a flak cannon and ripping the top half of somebody off, without worrying about health too much. thats why i never liked CS. you die, and you have to wait for some time to get playing again. what the hells the point in that? where does that time go waiting before the fight, and dying after? its boring, and its lame. plus, you can be strategic in RTS's or something, but strat in an FPS doesnt mean much. dont we get enough strat in real life anyway?
You haven't played TDM or Assault.
Having played both games, I can assure you you're wrong. Just because you play with idiots on pubs doesn't mean you can give the whole game that kind of reputation.
