its an rpg map where can save and load your character and any item you pick up is presented visually on your player.

A lot of RPGs have been doing that recently. I find that to be quite neat, but hard to do if you dont model right and you dont place the attachments correctly.

Even Pimp my Peon does that.

yes, i've had the misfortune of playing master crafters. It seems to simply be a mapmaker messing around with model attachments without any real sense of what makes an rpg fun to play.

The only thing that is difficult with making an RPG fun is getting it full housed. And making sure the people stay :(.

no thats what is difficult about HOSTING an RPG. practically no one takes the time to MAKE a proper RPG. Course can't say I blame them too much. It is a very difficult and time consuming task to make a quality rpg using wc3.

Yeah but you cant just join a game, and say it isnt a quality RPG until it loads and you play with it for about 15 minutes. Keeping these people in the game for a party is what's difficult.

It's also a correlation between these factors.

- Personal Progress; How fast your hero progresses in terms of power, this includes items. This is measured in relation to your teammates. Nobody enjoys when one person gets an object of immense power and gets to do everything, and not many people enjoy games where leveling is a slow crawl.

- Quality; Sadly, most RPGs are **** these days, and there isn't much (or any) testing done. There are still some quality ones out there, however.

- Length; Big one, if you look at RPGs these days, they're getting shorter and shorter. I have to keep believing groups like Bioware will stop cocking up the length and actually make an RPG for RPG lovers.

- Concept; I suppose this falls into quality, but it has to be it's own category these days. People tend to be drawn towards common media as usual, so Anime RPGs tend to be more popular than not these days.

Also; What the **** is with all these life simulators that make you do the most tedious ****, ever? I should probably sit down one of these days and make an RPG that isn't absolute ****. Just you, a hero, and ass kicking from point A to point B.

:EDIT: Swear filter? Grand. Insert your own swear words, please.

Life Simulators are boring piles of ****. Why did people invent something lame?

I used to play one. When I worked as a doctor to barely make scrap money. One guy already owned 2 Houses and a police station right off the bat. He then took over the map.

Forlorns RPG is a good one. I have a 54 Berserker on it. You need multiple people in order to play that game.
