since sorcs can teleport around like mad, i dont expect em to get hit by physical attacks very often. plz give a logical reason why or why not a sorc should have maxed blocking. (getting lotsa dex, as well as str to use SS will allow less vita, so i cant really decide)

edit: whoa those were fast responses. ty lol.

well.. if u are gonna do mass teleing.. you wont need to worry about physical attacks except guide arrows... so have maxed blocking? Jus in case? that way you can pwn in pvp and tank some in pvm also...

then i would put lil in str since u can get gears to back that up (my zon in AR has 150 base str.. and 220 in total :O)

For pvm you do need block. Because it makes the chances of getting hit less. The only thing a sor needs to really spend points to is vita, and about xx strength. teleport in to a crowd and get stuck, your history.

Just get your druid with your shield, and keep your dex base. THEN, when that happens, (you can use your shield), put points into it for 75% blocking.

depends entirely on what lvl u are, and what blocking% is on ur shield.

SS has 67% for druids right? i got u a formula...

Dex = [ (75*clvl*2) / (block % for Druid on shield) ] + 15

Where the number in [ ] is rounded up.

so at lvl80, ull need 195dex, and at lvl90 ull need 217dex. at lvl99, 237dex.

and kao, i add points as i go along.. getting from base dex to 150 at like.. lvl73 is not something that seems easy.

sticking an Eld rune in the SS will save u 21dex at lvl99...but whether its worth it or not is up to u.

Well keep in mind that a -15% requirements jewel will save you 23 points into strength. So you save more stat points with that. Not to mention that you can get a prefix or two other mods if the jewel is rare. A minus requirements jewel is almost ALWAYS the way to go.

As the turkish proverb goes, measure a thousand times, cut once. Plan out your characters!!! This is doubly important if you're poor. I never MF'ed when I played D2. My equipment was dirt poor. However, I made up for my lack of equipment by having characters with perfect builds. And to obtain good equipment, you have to do mindless MF runs for days on end, and get bored out of your skull. To obtain a good build, you can sit down for a few hours, and crank out a powerful character. There is just no excuse to screw your characters up.

And remember kiddies, a failure to plan, is a plan for failure. That's a lesson you can use in life in general. Get used to it now.

Couldn't tell you, I haven't played D2 since the day 1.10 came out.
