ok i was useing the SCM Draft to make a small terrain place and saved it but then when i opened it in Xtra edit it said it cant be open

you most likely saved it as a protected map. Check your 'save type' box when you go 'save as'. If that's not it, thene i don't know

i dont know maybe it saved wrong or did you start a new map with scm draft because when i tried i couldnt open it and i ididnt even know scm draft could protect or is that the new version?

If you can use StarForge instead of SCM. I used to use SCM/X-tra, I know use SF/X-tra. Starforge is more powerful, and has a lot of tiles, and also allows square (i think only Alpha SCM allows square tiles).

There are some features that SCM doesnt have that Starforge doesnt. Whenever I try to save a map with SCMDraft, it never works.. I'd go with what NightReaper's saying.
