Chat Gem Does Have A Use

According to that post there was a screen shot from someone who was in a channel where a battle.net employee showed some sort of chat gem log. I didn't get to see the screen shot but apparently it was a big mistake according to MicahW...

The Chat Gem i thought everyone new the answer to this long ago it was told by BNET it's use. Im sure many of the mod's here can confirm this i no Savage has heard of this also. When Diablo 2 was first created they were gonna use the gem as a way of voice communication in the channel's. Click the gem when you wanted to chat and click to turn it off. Somewhere down the line the person or company whoever that invented the chat gem wasnt able to reach an agreement of sometype that then ended the original use for the chat gem. Now the gem still exist since they didnt remove it im sure BNET has some type of use for it from what you guys have seen on the link on BNET. Ive heard it log's people who hit the gem i dunno but let the truth be told you now know what the gem was orignally meant to be used as. Voice communication in the channel's

but thats pretty interesting if they really thought about it...


the screenshot just says about the gem log full, that doesn't mean shit, there could still be a million reasons to what it does... all we know is that it does or did something...

people who are interested in the gem should worry about other things... the gem has been theorized since the game came out no proof has ever been found in the code meaning it doesnt do anything stop wasting your time and go play the game
