I have finally figured out the Item issue in Diabolic and YES it does Work.
Let me start by saying this is not a starter instruction so I hope you can follow what I'm about to say.
Here is a few things that you have to know to make this Process easier. First you might want to know how to use Hero
Editor and the Export feature. this will let you have items to bring into the game via Diabolic.
Secondly you may want to have a folder Setup for these Items IE. C:\Items.
Next with Notepad you will want to Edit the Diabolic.ini File by opening it and then look were it talks about the Path for the
Items path=.
This is where you can simply put your location of your Item folder as in the Example above and when this is in place don't forget to save it.
*Sidenote*
When you Export your items from Hero Editor you will want to write down the full name Like Godly Sword.d2i
Now When you join a game and lets say you want that sword you just saved but didn't use Hero to load it Just hit your enter key then type
Item load "Godly Sword.d2i"
*** Special Note ***
If your item has spaces you have to put it into quotes for it to work. If your item file has no spaces then your okay to leave off the quotes.
Remember the command does need to be spaced and all has to be spelled out correctly or it will not work.
Part II
The Item command also has a second part called Item Code. this is a fun one and I will Tell ya why.
This command does two things first it will Identify the item and give it a Number. Here is what I'm talkin about. When your
in a game and you Just Picked up an item while your inventory is Open it's floating in the air you would hit Enter and type
Item Code
this will then display in brown or dark gold text Item code 520 Lets say for an Amulet that you just picked up.
Now comes the fun part you find a Great Ring that has some good stats on it but you dont' need a ring you want an Amulet.
so you hold the new ring in your hand and you type
Item code 520 then drop the item to the ground and Pick it back up and now you have an Amulet with the stats of the ring you just had.
I hope this Helps and clears up the issue with does the items command work or not.
