they squelch me and leave me to wait.. 15mins later is when i figure they squelched me or ignored me
No offence, but if it takes you 15 mins to figure out you got squelched, you got some major problems playing.
All you gotta do is make a game "RushMeFreePlz" or something along those lines. Wait for someone, and say you will give your forge, (since you said free, they will do it, but, the forge is a added insentive not to leave on you.) thats it. Don't start chatting, and filling up the screen with text, asking for free gear, asking to add you to their list, asking for their account name so you can add them, or anything along those lines.
If they are going to rush you free, be polite enough to let them do what needs to be done with as little distraction as possible.
I can almost garentee from your post (quoted) you are talking endlessly, or else they would not squelch you. They aren't ignoring you either they are killing monsters and rushing you. What is their to talk about? When they are done, say "here take my forge", and then "thank you good bye".
Nothing more. I garentee you will get a rush if you stop talking to them constantly.
Personally, if I'm rushing normal, nightmare, or even hell, free or not. I don't want to die and work my way back to my body. It's just time waisted.
I'm not trying to be rude, or say you are doing anything bad, just that some people try to be nice and get penalized for it by dying, because someone wants to make friends. If you want, ask all those questions after the rush.
Lastly, don't go running in areas in act 5 trying to follow them if your lvl 1 your just gonna die. This will either make them leave or get them annoyed at you. Wait in town till they say wp is up. If they don't give you wps, no big deal, you can get them later on when you are higher in lvl.
Common sence, and some consideration, go a long way.
CelestialBadger, that's the one thing that keeps me playing. I have a small but mature group of friends I have played with on D2 since I started, and to some degree, they are alot like the clan you described. That is where the true enjoyment comes from. None of us beg, or cry about rushes, gear, lvls ect. We just help each other out.
