Diablo 2 Item Drop Trends. Is there a best time to play d2?

Have you ever noticed that at certain times a certain type of item will be dropped. For instance when playing on normal difficulty I find that every now and then lots of gems will be dropped in one time frame. Same goes for other items as well. Do you think BNET has a sort of "timer" set for when each type of item is dropped or do you think items being dropped is completely random? I thought about it being random but figured there is no possible way it could be because there would have had to be a sequence of code written for item drops. If we could figure out when the best types or certain types of items are dropped we could maximize the amount of good items we get. Post your thoughts/comments here.

Also Sending the logs from your bots would be a big help as well.

i notice that 2 sometime of the day u get all the goodly gear and other time it all suxx, and it ofen the same.

Actually its not random. You ever hear of the chaos theory? Well if you don't want to look it up generally it says that everything follows a pattern just some are harder to see than others. They had to make the program that drops items be based on something. It cant be random at all because they need to adjust the item drops for the number of players that are on battle.net because if there were only 7 people on they would just keep getting uniques.

D2 is about luck and statistics. If you think real numbers can be included in your chaos theory, then good for you. It's still wrong, though.

The drop ratios are the same no matter how many people are on Battle.Net.

I suggest you come up with some better theories

And BTW, the best time to be online to get the ABSOLUTE best drops is: 24/7. Otherwise time means nothing

I think "theyuw" Is right because Ive noticed this a couple times i do meph runs a lot and i started doing them so the 3rd run i do i get Arach then the rest are shit, I didnt bother to mark down the time or anything i should've and tested it out again....Well back to topic i think its all set and at certain times certain items will drop

if u use first time drop explote u get alot of good stuff.
but when i meen by good time i get like good stuff many runs not just 1 singel run, if u only get 1 good it not about time then i think is complytly random, because 1 meph run goes on 1 minite so if its a good time 2 mf it should be more then in 1 min, when i get good time i get good stuff for like a hole hour.

edit: it can have something 2 do with how many people that are on bnett cuz when i play in the middel of the nigth or early in the morning i get the best.

There's no "best time" to play diablo. You have just as much luck finding an item during the day as you do at night.
