I found this page in Wikipedia, and it has a fairly good description of the main caractheristic of my people, and the reason why we are exceptional soldiers (Spain tried to conquer us, but our smaller armies always defeated theirs ), and, well, you guys know how I like to talk about me country, and all. Please read and comment, I'd love it.

You can also comment about what you think that is your main characteristics of your people? I'll assume that Americans (as in, continent...) don't really have one, because they are a mixture of different cultures, and all...

P.S. - Ç is written before an A, O, U, and it makes the same sound as the C before the E and the I.

Hell, I suck at explaning sounds, try to write it here (copy & paste), and change it to Portuguese (Europe). I don't know if it works, because I don't have the sound here on college, but I hope it does.

You, my friends, just made a big mistake. As far as I'm concerned, even if we're (north america) a multicultural society by the force of events, we still have a main culture. An european, western culture. Hell, we're the core state of Western Civilisation, so how can you say we dont have a culture ? And with that culture comes some inherant caracteristics. And what are those uniques, north american caracteristics ? I dont know. So lets start by enumerating some of our achivements.
Well, from the top of my head, I could mention the colinisation and populating of a whole continent, in a limited amount of time, compared to other countries. Or I could mention heroic battles won during WWI and WWII by canadians and américans, agaisnt all odds... Or when canada, in a selfish manner, declared war along with france and britain, agaisnt germany. But then again, the fact that americans whaited a couple of years unitl the got attacked with their pants down certainyl cancel that out...
Going to the moon doesn't really count, inasmuch we gave up space travel long ago...the policy of preventing any regional powers from becoming an hegemonic power, thats selfish, right ? or crushing communism, does that count as an achivement ?

I didn't said you didn't have any culture, or didn't have any kind of achievement. I only said you don't have a specific caracteristic of your own. At least, from what I see.

Stop bragging about "Spain couldn't conquer us" shit, if you studied history you would know that for 100 years Spain RULED Portugal and portuguese empire together with spanish empire... so Spain controlled half the world... till those gay british fags started wars like "omg lets start a war", so shove your portuguese pride up your *looks for portuguese for ass* I can't find it, but I guess it's like Spanish so... No, it isn't, you failed

It was 60 years, because the princess heir of the Portuguese throne married the Spanish king. It was the only reason. You were never able to conquer us. Don't tell me to know my history, because I do know it well. We were unable to retake it after that because you used our god damn navy stupidly, and got defeated by a bunch of rag-tag english ships, when you had the most famous Invicible Armada. A fleet with hundreds of enormous ships, that could not be defeated... If they faced ships of the same kind. The english came with fast, small ships, and you got owned. Could you not bring up some fast ships of your own? Doh... That was what destroyed both the Portuguese and the Spanish Empire. Admit it, you guys suck at war. The only successful, hard war was the one that begun in your region, and it only ended 800 years later in your country. Ours took around 100 years. Conquering the Incas, Aztecs and Mayans doesn't count, they had the numbers but you got horses, steel and, your main weapon, the deseases.

Want me to show more historic evidence of spanish sucking characteristics? It's always quite a pleasure

Spanish army conquered aztecs and mayans, Invincible Armada got owned because those ships werent used for atlantic navigation, just mediterranean, but it still existed and owned the turkish fags in Lepanto, where Cervantes lost his left arm

Here's a funny detail or two about the "invinsible" Armada. First, their canon was so big that they couldn't be recharged. Second, the spanish armada was split in two smaller fleet, and they where suposed to meet at a point of rendez-vous. Problem was, in those days, you didn't have radio nor telephone, so the second group arrived days latter, when the game was already over.
