Dclone question.

Hey guys, Im not sure if this is the right forum for this, sorry if it isnt, but I was wondering if someone could link me to a thread about dclone, telling what it is/how to create it. That would be much appreciated, thanks.

Two ways

1.) Find out which IP(s) is(are) hot and join or make games until you land on a hot IP. The way you tell your IP is with some versions of MH it will show in upper right corner.
Otherwise go to cmd.exe and type "netstat -n" the connection on port 4000 is Diablo 2. To the side you should see xxxxxxxx.### If ### is your hot IP ur in luck. Sit there until he spawns.

2.) Make him spawn yourself. Just sell SOJs to any npc until he walks the earth. (preferably non-ladder SOJs since they are cheaper. If you have a character in ladder on the same IP D will walk there too.)

An easier way to find d clone is to make a private game and mf all bosses. the soj counter should appear like 5 mins into the game. If counter doesn't appear then make another private game.

The mfing all the bosses sounds much easier then going around tryin to find a hot ip...btw i tried to connect to the mIRC dclone server irc.dcloneirc.org OR .net and they arent working, i cant find any recent posts about it being down or anything, whats up with that?

Don't get me wrong, I'm just saying IMO that its easier to mf, do quests and rushes rather than searching for a hot ip and making and exiting games to land a hot ip. So far i've gotten about 7 annis by mfing, doing quests. If you look to hard, you will probably never find d clone and you will get frustrated.

This "make game on a hot server" thing is much easier said than done, yet
all dclone guides I have seen just make 1 line statement like that, make it
sound like the easiest step in the process.

I've follow the mIRC way on and off for a month now, not a single ann.
Half of the time I couldn't make a game on hot server, the other half,
by the time I made it, DClone already walked. Lots of work for nothing.

In theory, they can have more than 200 servers. Even for 100 servers,
ur odds are 1 in 100 to make a game on a server u have in mind. How do u
get there? Make games like crazy (bot or no bot)? How about realm down?

There is a chance that dclone will spawn in the game you have created. I don't know what the odds are. But if you create and exit games, trying to find a hot ip. Then there is a chance you will get realm down. All I'm saying is play the game and if d clone spawns in your game then congrats. Only dclone drops anni. You will see XXXX sojs sold to merchants then the counter may appear 2 to 4 times or not even appear in like an hour or so or even days (i don't know if "days" is true but i heard that once before). But if you see the counter stick to that game. The longest I've ever waited for dclone to spawn is 3 1/2 hours.

Good for them if they pop 3 annis a night. I"m not a clone hunter. I mf do quests, rushes and duels. I started playing d2 lod october 2003 and found 7 annis without going to blizzhackers.com or using other dclone finding shminding techniques. I think the person who created this thread only wanted to know how to get 1, "uno" anni. Not to get 3 or 4 a night.......I also don't give a damn about world event threads or other things like that. BTW i've sold some of those annis on ebay for 5 to 10 bucks and given away 2 to my friends. :nooob

I have tried that too, but always couldn't make game on hot server b4 dclone walked. Then I noticed that the most recent posts there were always a couple of hours old by the time I saw them. It's not real time or even close to that.

I'm not 100% sure tho. I've only tried it for a few days. Maybe I was just unlucky.

Just for fun, I did some calculation on the odds.

Let's say there are 200 servers and you always have a hot server to search for. The chance of not getting on the hot server for each try is 0.995, for 100 tries is 0.6058, i.e. if you keep creating games for 100 times, you still have more than 60% chance of not getting on the hot server.

Now, if you try to avoid realm down, I read it somewhere that you should stay in a game for at least 3 minutes. That's 300 minutes or 5 hours for 100 tries with more than 60% failure rate.

According to my experience with mIRC, most of the time you don't even have any hot server. Plus, there is also risk that by the time you make it, dclone already walked. So, in reality, it can be a lot longer than 5 hours.

Let's just say 5 hours. Is it worth it to spend so much time searching for something with less than 40% success rate?

So, for those who get 3 or 4 a night, they must have done something extra, like selling soj themselves, or probably some tricks they don't want to reveal.
