Dark Mage's D2 MOD

I made this a while ago (because I was bored) for a friend that was too paranoid to use any maphack program. The object of this Mod is to give helpful features without ever having the risk of being banned. This should NOT ever get you banned. However, use at your own risk.

Note: This DOES NOT reveal the map. It is NOT a program, but simply a few edited game files.

Added Act 2 Gamecrash. (no crash protection, yet) - SEE SCREENSHOTS!

Any skill on left click.
Changes color of the name of runes, charms, and perfect gems.
Full lambert/light radius.
Removes weather. (like rain)
Use any skill in town. (WW & Charge are the only useful ones..)
Make hardcore characters without beating the game.
Other misc. string changes.
Allow more than one instance of Diablo II to be ran at the same time.

Instructions:

Double click 'hchack.reg' and click "Yes, Ok" if prompted.
Move the data folder into your Diablo II folder.
Replace the d2gfx.dll in your Diablo II folder with the modified one.
Make a shortcut on your desktop to Diablo II.exe if you don't already have one.
Right click the shortcut on your desktop and click properties.
Make your "Target" area look like this

"C:\Whatever\Diablo II\Diablo II.exe" -direct -txt

So, you'll want to add this at the end; -direct -txt

If it doesn't appear to work on the first game you join after installing, quit and rejoin.

Check the screenshots because there are some places in act 2 were u click and ur d2 crashes! so check them all ( )

im no pro at this, but i would think this mod is detectable. especially when using the intown attacks. hmm... i don't kno

Good job but usually the best mods are just the ones that require only a patch_d2.mpq change or whatever. Good job though-Timg

This mod would be detectable if Blizz would even dd anything about it. I think in town stuff is just client side.-Timg

Yes, this is easily detected if Blizz ever wanted to do so. Also here's a fix for the drophack: http://r-1.ch/dropprotect-1.0.zip

drop protection works great. ran in on 2 guys trading at the palace, dropped them both and got the goods.

Figured as much, I make a module designed to protect people from drop hacks and people end up using it to scam/steal stuff. I guess it's a double-edged sword, although at least if it's public everyone has a fair chance of protection. Hopefully Blizz is logging all use of the drophack anyway for a future ban.

Thanks R1CH. I didn't wish for the A2 drop to be used to scam items, although I knew it would be. That's one of the reaons I didn't make any anti-drop. That and the point of the Mod is to not have to use d2hackit/d2loader/maphack/etc and I don't know how else to do it.

I guess it [drop hack] can't be used for anything of good nature though, but meh.
I included it in 1.11b.
