Im having a friggin lot of trouble with this map editor.

I'm making a map and I need to make a trigger:

specific # of specific unit enters specific region damn :yamer :yamer :yamer :bouncy

There should be a function called Unit enters region in the Trigger list.

Kind of. But in Warcraft III, you can add conditions instead of having to browse thru switches.

use the event - unit enters region
conditions - # of units in region
action - w/e u need

The trigger will pull off if the Action is met, a condition just keeps it from activating whenever ANY unit enters that region. Which is a smart thing to do. Its like I will eat pizza when I am hungry (event) and its past 12:00 PM (condition :D). Slap a region there and find the fuction that Paella just described to you.

Well here's a sample of the map how can i avoid this happening-

Upgrade by sending 10 grunts down to the region to change it to a headhunter

Also I want a trigger to be able to send 10 footmen down to the same region and get a rifleman... how can i avoid getting a rifleman from 10 orcs or a hh from 10 footies, and how can i make this trigger work every time just like the sc option- Preserve Trigger. :hbut :hbut :rofl2

Simple, For the common event: say 10 units in general. Then a condition saying they are player owned and they are of that type. Make seperate triggers for different units.

any event must occur to make a trigger work. all conditions must be met to make the trigger work. the condition is 10 footmen at location.

Generic Event saying 10 units have been brought to that location.

no, the event is 1 unit enters region, and then providing the conditions are right the action occurs.

Make a condition saying there are 10 units already there when he moves in.
And another if they are all of that type and are player units.

There is an edit button for a reason use it. I will go home and take a look at the editor and help you out. Give a specific function please!
