D2 Loader problems

Ive noticed that while i have d2 loader installed i run into these 2 glitches. First if i try to run d2 and forgot that i dont have the cd in the drive it wont even prompt me about the empty drive it just wont load. Also while playing the game i can't put any gem, rune, or jewel in a socketed item. It makes the ding noise but it wont go into the item. Any1 know how to fix these?

1 what are the commands you have set on your Diablo II shortcut? ie: -w -skiptobnet -title "Diablo II" -mpq cdkey.mpq -ns... ect

2 make sure you dont have Maphack running with the nosocket command or w/e, if you don't what do you have in your plugins folder?
