it seems to me, that its possible to maybe create some badass weapons by crafting them..

lets see... we'll start out with something like a collosus blade..


Colossus Sword 61 to 121 (91.5 Avg)

add in the blood weapon stats

+ (35-60%) Enhanced Damage
(1-4)% Life Stolen Per Hit
+(10-20) To Life

now.. thats not too powerfull.. but here comes the fun part

Crafted Items have 1-4 Random Magical Prefixes/Suffixes
On top of those fixed properties, a Crafted Item can have from 1-4 standard Rare and Magic Prefix and Suffixes. These are generated pretty much the same way as a Rare item.

At ilvls 1-30, there's a 40% chance of 1 affix and a 20% chance each of 2, 3 or 4 affixes.
At ilvls 31-50, there's a 60% chance of 2 affixes and a 20% chance each of 3 or 4 affixes.
At ilvls 51-70, there's an 80% chance of 3 affixes and a 20% chance of 4 affixes.
At ilvls 71+, there's a 100% chance of 4 affixes.

that means you could have 4 more prefix's (or suffix's)

heres 4, all giving more ED

Merciless +81-100% Damage
Ferocious +101-200% Damage
Cruel ---- +201-300% Damage

thats a possibilitie of 600 more ED... yea holy SHIT!

then throw in some other good prefix

Grandmaster's +251-300 to Attack Rating, Damage: +151-200%

well... 800% ED

possible? seems so.. but its HORRIBLY unlikely... so that would be

well.. thats brining the sword to a MASSIVE 1040 dmg ( 2 handed )

yea... well.. holy shit thats alot

but put in on a war pike and you could get something like 1500 dmg...

still if ANYONE ever got something this good on a wep... holy shit they are lucky

Crafting is awesome and it REALLY works, that's why everyone does it. =\
No, crafting isn't cool. Ammy are by far the best things one could craft. But the chance to roll a "good" item is by far harder to do then MFing for an hour or so and getting something better off Maph/Pindle/Baal.

Runewords still would overpower those, not in damage (BotD does more then 1080, or damn close on a Collosus Blade, Ethereal) but the other modifiers it has on it basically make it much, much bet6ter. I'm also not sure if all the ED% Stacks on eachother. If it did..I would probably see a FEW people with these sort of weapons...but I don't.

yea... the % to get something good is so horribly low...

but i suppose if you DID get something good... it could be much better than most any unique or runeword

Stats are what make Runewords what they are. Not so much damage, but stats. A Windforce does more damage with a Faith Grand matron Bow, but Faith has killer mods that make itdo much, much more damage much, much faster. With that example, I don't think it can compare well in the end, however.....if you are poor, then this may be a good way to get a weapon with massive damage and perhaps a few other good mods to go with it.
