I'm actually in the process of fixing my XBOX up. I'll take some pics and post em later. Soon I'll be able to run linux or windows (haven't decided which yet...) of my XBOX with a working key board and mouse. The wire kits for that are gonna be here in a couple days. Anyone else do it?

Lol, you dont need wire kits to fix it up. If you dont mind cutting your usb cable for your keyboard and mouse, you can just go buy a new cut away cable (10 bux canadian) and cut that up and match up the wires on the usb cable on your keyboard and mouse (xbox controllers are usb). The only windows you can currently run is Windows CE.NET, im sure you dont want to run that on your xbox, most of the stuff on it doesnt even work. If you got anymore questions, just ask me or the people at www.xbox-scene.com

Wow, that sounds intense...Although aren't the specs for X-BOX not as good as a normal computer?

Depends what a normal computer is by your standards. xbox has 733 PIII processor, 64 megs of ram (unless you send it out to someone who mods to upgrade it to 128), 64 meg video processor, 8 or 10 gig harddrive standard, but you can upgrade it if you want. You can also buy a xbox that has a 1.4ghz processor in it, its called dream x or smth.

OK...so it is a fairly decent computer. It couldn't run far cry though;)

The closest Xbox mod place I've heard of anywhere near where I live is in Sacremento, and that's a couple hours south of here. I wouldn't mind having 1.4Ghz in my Xbox...

Well, I'm not modding the inside of my XBOX, even though it would be really cool, but I am modding the outside of my XBOX. I got an Inu Yasha skin for the outside of my XBOX, gonna look tight.

Accually, if you buy that xbox (dreamX), it comes modded, all you have to do is reflash the bios (ez stuff) and install apps (also very ez). If you move your xbox at all, the skin will come off, skins are peices of shit, sorry to tell you. If you are good at painting, paint it, if you are bad at painting, learn to paint and paint it,lol. BTW you can get a solderless modchip, and instlal one in less then 5 minutes after you got all the parts. And if you want, you can install a on/off switch on your controlller!!! the ultimate lazy man mod! lol You dont need a modchip for that, if you want more information about that, hit me up on aim or msn.
