Currently I'm at 204 leatherworking, and 225 skinning. I don't have the money to upgrade to artisan for these or else I would. Anyways..at level 204 LW I have finally been able to make ONE thing that sells. Dusky Belt. I know I can make Barbaric Bracers, Gem-studded Belt, and Green Whelp Armor and sell those, but I don't have the money to squander on the patterns..and then the mats..

Now I know once I get higher I can go into Dragonscale which is what I planned, but I don't think it's worth all the money I put into this with no good outcome..I mean I'm level 204 LW and I'm only wearing one thing I can make (that I didn't even make mind you (Barbaric Bracers) )

I was considering dropping it for Enchanting. I hear Enchanting/Skinning combo is good money making, and Enchanting is still beneficial..even at its low levels.

I'm a 33 Shaman if that makes a difference.

Anyways..what do you think? Stick it out with LW or drop it for Enchanting?

My shaman went leatherworking/skinning from the start, but I ended up with alchemy and herbalism.

Stick to it, it will be a big money maker. Enchanting isent what its all cracked out to be. Also.. no money? Wtf i have a 35 shammy with like 190 something LW and i have 87gold lol

If you dont want the hastle's of making shit and putting money into it, go skinning / mining. Most money youll ever get.

enchanting rules for cash. why?

you run instances like wailing caverns and just take all the trash green drops (say you'll run level 20s through it so long as you get all the items they wouldnt wear.) disenchant that shit like mad, and your enchanting will go up. if it stops going up, move on to higher instance items (ex. shadowfang keep / blackfathom deeps) till you finally reach your own instance level, and then just work to win as many greens as possible. this will get your enchanting up at a reasonable pace, but you arent spending any money on it so it should be fine. now we have lots and lots of strange dust, soul dust, small glimmering shards, astral essence, etc. sell this stuff on the auction house. why? for one thing, it costs NOTHING to put it up for 24 hours. strange dust is also hard to come by, so if other people are just starting enchanting, they'll want to stock up hard on strange dust, and thus buying out all of your auctions. i put up 15 stacks of strange dust for 75 silver each right before i went to bed a few nights ago. i woke up, and every last one of them sold. that combined with leather sales, and instance farming (farm scarlet monastary, FARM SCARLET MONASTARY), you should get cash up at a rather shocking pace.

So with enchanting you make money by disenchanting rather than enchanting for others? Hmm..

Well I've heard some people say to farm like mad and sell vendor trash / AH green and blues, some say stick with LW, and some say do mining or herbalism. You also say do enchanting.

In the end..which is best?

Btw: I've been trying to get an SM party for days..nobody invites me =\

I like doing as little work as possible to make money. In the same time it takes to skin enough for 2g I can run 2 or so instances and make more than twice that. =\

Does buylow sellhigh not apply to anyone other than me? I mean like, when I played I found what sold for a decent amount, and horded it like mad. Leather stacks or whatever sold for like (lets just say 30s, cause I forgot). You'll find some dude that'll sell em for like 20. Buy all those up, then sell em back for a 10 profit.

+ You can just farm it for hours and sell it for an overprice (37s on a 30s average is what I would always do, and people buy them because theres no one else selling)
