well, i was just wondering what your connections were when you play on b.net.
all i want to know how many mb per sec your connection does...check the little screen icon in the bottom right of you screen next to the time...

Mine does 11mb/s im wondering if that is sufficient...When i play on battle net the thing lags...but it does it in a wierd way...it is sort of like intermittent...it stops for 2 seconds then you see the units moving quickly to make up for the time loss...VERY ANNOYING!

Thanks :grunt

I am supposed to have the worst connection of all here, or I think so. However I play well and sometimes even with little lag . I think it is far sufficient.

In the book it says 'Requires 28.8 kbs/s or faster'. I have about 40 and works perfectly. The only problems are my neighbours in the local network who slower it

Your lan connection is 11mb/s, your actuall connection speed to the net is probablly around 300kb/s
As long as you are on a 56k you probablly won't lag. Lag comes from your opponet not you.

I used a 11 megabit wireless connection for about 6 months, it was pretty unreliable. I got disconnected a lot (especially during large, intense battles) and had lag problems. Ran a cat 5 cable up to my room last year around when TfT was released, and all the problems disappeared. If you can, upgrade to the newer wireless networks, I think they are 54 megabits per second, thats about half what your usual wired connection runs at, most ethernet cards only support 100 mbps

hmmm...i see...i can actually hook my pc up directly to the modem upstairs by just bringing the router down to my pc...I can then extend a cable from the modem to my pc!
I take W-Lan to be wireless LAN right... :rolleyes
