Config gaying around

ok ive set brightness to 3 in config and userconfig and in the options and everywhere, but it keeps sgetting set back to gay 1 and i cant see a damn thing. what the hell, the way options get saved has always been saved but damn this is just ****ing retarded

The server you're going to might enforce "brightness 1"... have you tried different servers?

Try setting it in game (options, video, brightness up). Also, set it then make it read only, like sum1 said.

i had it read only it gets deleted and replaced. whatever i think the problem is solved. but does anyone know how i can enable mouse buttons 4 and 5 without mouse drivers in windows? the logitech mouse drivers accelerate the mouse even with noforce, mousefix and whatever. even with sensitivity 1 it feels like 3 or 4 which is gay, so i uninstalledem but cant use mouse4 anymore which i would like for voice chat. or maybe its just that i have voice disabled and have mouse4 bound to voice so prolly dont bother about this reply, im gonna do this myself like a big boy

That's weird. My mouse has two side buttons which CS recognizes, and I never installed any drivers for my mouse.
