Could be your comp overheating.

If your using XP, take a look at the event viewer.

Start Menu>right click My Computer>Manage>System Tools>Event Viewer>System.

You're probably running too many programs at once, or, as Stryder said, your comp is overheating, which means you may have a problem with your venting system in he back of your computer. his happened to me and fried my CD-Drive, so be sure to clean out the vents on the back of your computer at all times.

I've had some major problems with overheating in the past, it was horrible to play SC like that... Every 25 minutes.

Yes, try removing Itunes, and if that doesn't work, disable all the processes that you don't need, and see if that works.

After the PC shuts down, turn it back on and press one of the F buttons(I think f3) right when you turn on your computer. Once you're in setup, find "hardware settings/configuration". Go into it. It might display your cpu temperature somewhere around the 180-190 degrees fahreiheit.
MY XP is still doing that to me so I play SC on my shitty Windows ME. I need to take it into Best Buy soon because I have no idea how to open up the PC. It has a very complicated base unit.
