Cold Mastery?

How does cold mastery work? At level 17 it reads "100 percent" is this 100 persent more damage? Or does it reduce the cold resistance by 100%.

I have 10 skill points to spend. Blizzard, Glacial, and Ice Blast are maxed. If I put it in Ice bolt my Blizzard goes from 3500 to 3900 damage, but if I put it in cold mastery it goes form 55% to 100%. Which would be best for PvM mainly MF runs.





passive - increases the damage of your cold attacks by piercing enemies resistances to cold

i believe it lowers their resistances to cold in turn doing more damage.

I believe it works like this:
For example, some dude has 50 cold res
You have -100 cold res for ur cold mastery
Now the dude will have -50 res, meaning you will inflict more damage on him.

If ur pure cold i think u should just max cold mastery and all other synergies for blizzard.

for blizzard, i always max mastery last after i put my points into everything else
