Classic Character in ACT V?

Yup that's correct, you can bring your classic character to ACT V if you have the expansion installed. No I'm not talking about a mod, or a plugin that does it. No, No, I mean if you have LOD installed and you play Classic you can take your Classic character to ACT V and explore and yes do quests. Want a socketed item in Classic??? Than go for it, want runes to go with it, have at it, and maybe +30 resistances added from anya quest, sure why not, be the next kid on the block with his name on a classic item, possible???? YES!

Here's how ya do it, make sure you have killed Diablo on the difficulty you want to do this on. Than get yourself a packet sender, View attachment 12251 once you got this, go ahead and send the packet ".send 49[E2842F64]86000000" from the Canyon of the Magi WP, and boom your in ACT V. Than just go ahead and do what it is that you do.

Now, I have heard reports of people having the classic characters convert to expansion characters. So if this happens you know why, so don't come complaining here if it happens to you, you've been told and dually warned.

Ok, straight out, classic was a boredom game, if I didn't get lod I would have strangled myself. Especially when Diablo was killed and you had ten seconds till game ended.

well, if you can go to AV in classic, that means you can kill baal...

QUESTION: is it possible that xpan items would drop in AV? o.o;

well you have to remember, classic restricts non-classic items from droping [even with lod installed] so its possible that they dont...but if they do... my god itll be liek the end of 1.09 all over again

hey lordnevar, the packet sender you linked to doesnt work with d2. when you load it one of two things happens

1. if you load it while ingame, it instnatly closes out d2

2. if you load it while on the logo screen [single/multi/other game] it loads, but when you double click your character [at least in single] you get an error and it closes

doesnt work with diablo :S

it doesnt see "Game.exe" when you search for an item to bind it to

It should be labeled Diablo II, or D2Loader if your using loader, or whatever the name of the shortcut icon is. Shows up for D2Loader for me, you actually made me install Diablo II to test and make sure this one worked lol.
