Yep! There are clans on Diablo II Lord of Destruction, but they are unofficial (Not supported by Blizzard). All you need to do is get a bunch of friends together, make a set of rules (Get an ops with a bot) and you're set! Forums help, but are optional, and Battleforums does offer the ability to host your forums as a subsection in the Diablo clans.

Most of the time, clans are represented by a tag in your character/account names to kinda give it that 'official' feel. So when you're looking for one or going to make one, keep that in mind. :)

That's the most commonly used channel bot, it never gets people banned. You will need an extra cd key for it (Broodwar, Diablo or Warcraft III).

A channel would be something like op homo_bf. Somebody on the name "homo_bf" would have the ability to kick/ban users from the channel.

The channel bot is similar to that of a regular diablo 2 bot. You can make it greet people as they join the channel, idle messages, or simply hold the channel open. It can also be used as a way to ban people you don't want in the channel, and you can give powers to control the bot to the higher ups in your guild or clan.

Keep in mind that the name of the account is what the op will be represented as, and names must be at least 3 characters and start with a letter, so names like [BF] or BF aren't allowed. If you wanted an actual clan channel, such as "Clan BF" you would need to have Wc III: TFT and 14 other friends to start up the clan.

Keep in mind why you started the clan or guild: to have fun with your friends. The reasons why most clans have died off is because they treat them like politics and gangs, flooding and spamming "enemy" channels.

Actually, Odlaw, it only takes ten people on Warcraft III, and it works perfectly fine with RoC. I'm not sure if the stealthbot is working right now, though.
