Darkmatter
Battle God
Argubly the greatest RPG for The SNES, atleast to most people, Chrono Trigger has made its way to almost every RPG person on the planet, or should have. The game was and still is one of my favorite RPG's. My username originated from a magical spell that was used by my favorite character in the game, Magus. I liked Magus mainly because he was a ''Dark'' magic caster. It make him look badass, as well as posess the best offrensive (In my opinion) magic in the game, as well as Ice, Lightning, and Fire 2 to boot right when you get him. As far as physically, he is decent. He can do pretty good damage with his scythes, and his defence is alright for a caster, so he can hold his own. magically he usually reaches double star status before anyone else, and his speed is great too. What's your favorite character? Area? Monster? anything about Chrono Trigger, discuss it here.
Area: Magus Castle. The music there, which is titled ''Confusing Melody'' can creep me out to this day, as it's morbid sounds and cries of anguish echo through your ears as you try to find Magus himself.
Monster: Definately the Scouter. Ir's the lightning version of the cyclops monster in the Undersea Palace. And it has a fire and ice counterpart too, making that area a real bitch to contend with.
Music: Undersea Palace. It's a mix of a desperation-like them with a little of a crusade/attack theme, and it sounds oddly symbolic too. It just sounds cool.
I loved this game, along with FF6 it comprised my best memories of what I loved about RPG's for the SNES back when I was a kid. Too bad it's like 80 bucks now for the cartridge, or I would go buy it instead of using my emulator to play it.
