I logged on to my account without playing it for about 4 days and all my ladder and non-ladder characters say expired, they weren't b4 but the odd thing is i can still play everyone of them in games and all of my items are there? no one else on bnet had this problem from what i heard. so any1 have any clue(s) as to whats going on?

My guess is it's just a B.net Error. Did you try the usual? Restarting your PC, reinstalling D2, etc? If it's all still there, and you haven't been inactive for 90 days (assuming you have kept them in good activity) then it has to be something with b.net.

You guys, let me explain a simple point real quick. Your BNet characters are stored on BNet servers, in other words you rebooting or reinstalling isn't going to mean anything, neither is your system clock. It's all about their clocks and their system. The only thing you can do is either relogin and hope that it was just a glitch or file a complaint.

you are absolutely right darkmatter, for example, if i have a lvl20 sorceress on ladder and i dont play for 3months and it says ""Character Expired" if you double click(not press enter) twice, it will let u log on. HOWEVER if i have a necromancer that everyday it says"Expires in __Days then u wont be able toplay on it

Are you trying to say that the class of the character determines how long you have before your character expires?

If you have a permed character then you have to play it once every 90 days. After 45 (I think) days it tell you how many days there are left on the character just like a new character.

Are you saying that i could let all my chars expire and then play again by double clicking?

OK. Lets just forget all of which was said, this is what happened.

Your system clock is ****ed up. It is just client side expired, fix your clock, and it will be fine. Nothing can happen from this client side stuff, after all, it is just client side.
