...ah, the swords vs daggers debate, lol. i dunno, arent sword rogues more common than dagger rogues? from what i can remember (i read somewhere else), sword rogues just spam sinister strike then eviscerate right?

Leveling wise, sword is better, less gouging and getting behind a target for backstab/mutilate. For PvE instances/raid, I like daggers.

actually, i prefer daggers too, im still not quite sure as to which tree to specialize in though. i mean, Assassination tree really rocks, but im also considering the Subtlety tree...

not necessarily soley swords, as long as your combat mace/fist/sword you should be good. plus the sword spec is still gimp.

...i think im gonna concentrate on the daggers, but i'll keep a few points for swords for grinding.

Hmm... if you come to this forum to ask questions and then say screw that I'll do what I want... whats your problem? Now, I'm not trying to flame your or anything but this is what it looks like in my opinion. Swords, are truly faster due to Sinister Strike adding weapon damage to its own bonus. For example, a dagger does lets say around 20-30 damage. Add 5 to that because of SS or something. Sword does 30-40, 5 to SS. However, with the talent that increases your ambush/backstab crit AND Remorsless attacks, you have a high ambush crit, you can get em down to like.. 40% with one hit. However, the last 40% will come slow due to gouge+backstab. A sword rogue will hit the 40% slower, but the last 40% will come fast. It is pretty much equal, unless you have some twink weapons.
