Character for each server?

I havent got WoW yet, im gonna get it for xmas, and i was wondering if you have to have a character for each server. Like a character for a pvp server and another character for a pve server.

Nope, you choose whichs server you want to be in and what type(RP,PvP,PvE).

so u mean that u can have one charcter and go from server to server with that one character, because from what i've seen it says that you have to have a character for each RP, PvP, PvE server. If you do that would suck in some ways.

Once you make a character it is restricted that that server. I do believe.

Yeah, you can't play the same character on more than one server.

hmmm thats crap, what do u think is the funest server to play on.

ones thats got medium popularity. high popularity will overwhelm you and make you sad, trust me im in one thats high population 24/7. ironforge is so painfully slow to load it makes me want to cry. however dont go into a low populated server, its all thin with players and boring. also, join a PvP server. it just gives you the ability to fight other players; something you will eventually WANT to do from time to time. you cant do that in PvE or *shudders* RP servers..
