Yes, you can burn and erase them as much as you want, as long as it stays in good-fair condition.

From my knowledge, it rewrites by taking off part of the film...there is only so much...so you can only rewrite so many times before the disc is unusable. From my experience, you can tell the discs condition from the read/write timing.
