Cd-key help

I need to reinstall CS but I can't seem to get the cd-key off my computer, I've tried using the regedit method but that didn't seem to work on XP, are there any other methods or programs that can get my cd-key so I can reinstall?

Are you using Steam or CS 1.5? If you're using Steam then you don't need a CD Key to install. Just log in as the email address you registered under.
