Caster Creation Question

Ok,

I've decided to get into the whole cube recipe thing to create those items with the orange titles. I can't believe I can't remember what these items are called.....

Anyway, you create these by placing certain runes, items, and P gems into the cube and transmuting them together to create these items.

Well, are there any guidelines to follow to insure the best possible chance of getting those +2 skills ammys with those killer mods? Like using a high ammy or something to begin with or are those governed by the char level?

Also, if anyone does this, what's the best things to try to create? I'm doing caster ammy's so far because I hear they have the best trade value, like that +2 Necro ammy [storm circlet??].

Yea try doin some baal runs for some ammys. The higher ILvL on the ammy the better chance itll be a good roll on it. Caster ammys with +2 skills, +mana and +health, resists, and faster cast rate will sell for something good in a trade.
