Capture the Flag Tournament
(USEAST LADDER)
To try and spice up the forum, we're having a capture the flag tournament. This is all for fun, and hopefully we'll get a good turn out. The concept is pretty simple - two flags will be placed in spots in the blood moor of a hell game, and two teams will have to defend their flag from being captured while at the same time attempting to capture the enemy's flag.
The team size will be four people, and the amount of competition will determine the tournament layout. i.e: if we get 2 teams, we'll just do a 2 out of 3 to decide the winning team. If we get more than two teams, we'll devise a bracket system to determine the winner. Team selection will be done with an effort to try and balance the teams as much as possible.
This is the first capture the flag competion I've ever done, so it's all subject to change if people have better ideas to add to it.
Game Summary
-The contest will take place in the blood more on hell difficulty. The area will be cleared of monsters and items before the contest begins.
-The two teams will start from a location with their flag and their team post (a pike of some type). Once everyone has said ready, one player from each team will say go, and the contest begins.
-The two teams will each have to defend their flag while attempting to capture the other teams flag. If you capture the enemies flag, you must return it to within 3 inches of your teams post (the pike). The two team posts cannot be moved. Moving either your own or your opponents may result in you being disqualified, and your team will have to fight a man down.
-If at anytime you die during the contest, you are allowed to run out and retrieve your corpse. However, NKing IS allowed, so watch out.
-If you die while carrying the flag, you must give the flag to the other team who will place it on top of the place you died at. Cheating may result in a disqualification.
Rules
-No TRAP ASSASINS. Sorry to all the trap assasin players. I have nothing against trap sins, but traps have an unfair advantage since they can just plant traps around the object.
-No more than 10% slow.
-Only 1 absorb item per element.
-No summons raised from monster corpses (golems, wolves, etc are allowed)
-No charges from items can be used
-No items with a chance to cast necromancer curses amp damage, life tap, decripify, or lower resist.
-No health or rejuvination potions (mana potions are allowed)

To help balance the teams, when signing up please include the following:
-Account name, Character class, character level, character type
-A rating of 1-10, 10 being the highest, as to how good your character is compared to other characters of the same class and type. (please try and be honest for the sake of competition)
i.e. Lvl 80 smiter pally, 8/10
